Dear Piedmont Educator,
As the new Executive Director of PTEC, I am excited to join this network of dedicated and talented teachers and school administrators to serve the 16 triad school districts.
With a long-standing history of excellence, we are pleased to provide our teachers with professional development offerings and the 2016-2017 calendar of events is full of a variety of selections to meet a wide range of educators. We are proud to introduce a new partnership with the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) which will focus on Literacy, Writing, Beginning Teacher Skills, Instructional Strategies, and Teaching Students in Poverty. We feel that this new partnership with NCCAT will provide educators in the Piedmont Triad area with new opportunities to broaden their skills.
Additionally, our traditional offerings continue including Increasing Student Engagement, Personalized Learning, Rubrics and Assessments, Instructional Coaching, and Integrating Technology, to name a few. We are also continuing our work with aspiring principals with a leadership development series.
Detailed information is on our calendar of events, and I hope that you will plan to attend the offerings most beneficial for you.
Lillie Cox, Ed.D.
